An interesting connection

I just finished reading Rapunzel and I have made an interesting connection. When I was coming to the end where the prince in blinded I could only think of Jane Eyre and the character Mr. Rochester. Like the prince, Rochester falls from the attic (or tower) and he is blinded (by fire instead of briar – but they do rhyme). Then the prince wanders alone in the forest for years while Rochester sits alone for years waiting. The prince in reunited with Rapunzel and Rochester is reunited with Jane, both men regain their sight and live happily ever after! Yay!
